Player Access Control
This feature allows you to control access to your web player by creating user name/password pairs. You can create as many user names as you need, and optionally specify an expiration date as shown in the screen-shot from the Control Panel. Use this feature to restrict users to their IP number, or an entire IP range (ex. 123.12.34.15 or 123.12.34.). Leave blank if no IP address restriction is required. Helps prevent revenue loss due to password sharing or password posting.
This is especially useful for a variety of applications; from corporations or municipalities that stream meetings or minutes to select members or board members, to pay-per-listen stations that broadcast premium, non-commercialized content, to specialized broadcasts and web site applications.
